For hundreds of years of terrorism was, and remains a part of human life across the globe.
The various reasons and goals that are expected to become achieved by these dreadful acts are endless. All the while, the present day media seem to support this terrorism by falsely reporting on these actions; or, just suppressing the news of releasing information about such acts forever, or for the amount of time a governance pays them, or threatens them, to do so. In contrast, when a political end is benefitted then, the news is shoved into the spotlight and puts the terrorist’s message on the front pages for days, weeks, even months! How could the world NOT examine these things and wonder why twitter is a constant source of news rather than their televisions.
An awakening since 2008 has begun. I remember when my interest in politics peeked. Unfortunately, it wasn’t when the terrorists attacked our country in September, of 2001. I was just a junior in high school and didn’t understand much but, once I attended a psychology class in college.; which, was the summer of 2004, I have been a news junkie ever since. The news isn’t as limited as you would think since I live in Detroit, Michigan – once the murder capital of the country – but, more political. You see, the school district in Royal Oak (mainly George A. Dondero High School), did NOT concentrate much on politics or world history – in fact the bulk of my knowledge came from my father Michael Hansen, and the drudge report.
Please start to take note to, and my question is:
Do terrorists use the influential role of the media to reach their goals and support their ideas to the masses?
I think so. Thoughts?
Governmental responses to these issues are minimal – and the lack of interest in public opinion globally is hindering representatives from even noticing that the media terrorist connection is an acute predicament that, unlike terrorism, can be prescribed (at bare minimal) with some type of solution – immediately. Indeed, if they are smart enough to notice the above trends regarding the media, terrorism, and twitter becoming our main source for transparent news – or at least seeking avenues to find such news – then, they’re just as lazy with this topic as they are with most.
